SegmentSyncer

Privacy Policy

Last updated

This page says which personal data SegmentSyncer handles, and what it is used for. This is a first version, and it will be extended.

When you sign in

You sign in with Google, Microsoft or a one-time code sent to your e-mail address. From Google and Microsoft we ask for your name, your e-mail address and your profile picture. With a Microsoft work account we may also look up which e-mail domains your organization has verified, to confirm that the address is yours. We get no access to your e-mail, calendar, files or contacts.

We use these details to:

  • recognise you when you sign in
  • show your name and picture in the app, and show your colleagues who created or changed something
  • send you e-mail that belongs to the service, such as sign-in codes and invitations

For each sign-in we also store the IP address and the browser it came from, to keep the account secure.

The people who receive SMS

A business that uses SegmentSyncer decides who it sends to and why, and is responsible for that. On its behalf we handle:

  • the phone numbers it sends to, and the details it puts into a message
  • whether each message was delivered
  • clicks on the link in a message, and purchases that follow on the business's website, when the business has set that up
  • the numbers that have opted out, so they are not sent to again

If you have received an SMS and want it to stop, use the opt-out link in the message. For anything else about a message, contact the business that sent it.

Cookies

SegmentSyncer uses only the cookies it needs to work: one keeps you signed in, and the others remember choices you make, such as which tenant you last worked in. There are no cookies for advertising or for analytics.

Changes
