Terms of Use
Last updated
These terms apply when you use SegmentSyncer. This is a first version, and it will be extended.
The service
SegmentSyncer lets a business send SMS to its own customers: to a segment kept in its marketing platform, to a list it uploads, or one message at a time when its platform asks for it. It also shows how the messages did: what was delivered, and the clicks and purchases that followed.
Your account
You get access through an invitation from your organization, and sign in with Google, Microsoft or a one-time code sent to your e-mail address. The account is yours alone. Do not share it, and tell an administrator in your organization when someone should no longer have access.
What you send
The business that sends a message is responsible for it. That means:
- sending only to people who have agreed to receive SMS from it, as the law where they live requires
- saying who the message is from, and keeping what it says lawful and true
- letting every recipient opt out, and never sending to someone who has
SegmentSyncer helps with the last point. Every campaign message ends with an opt-out link, and the numbers that have opted out are kept on a suppression list that is checked before each message is sent.
Acceptable use
Do not use SegmentSyncer to send messages that are unlawful, misleading or harassing, to get around a recipient's opt-out, or to reach data that belongs to another customer.
Personal data
What the service stores about you, and about the people you send to, is described in the Privacy Policy.
